Benevolence: Part of the 753 Code

What does it mean to be benevolent?  According to the dictionary

benevolence

noun

  1. the quality of being well meaning; kindness.

As I look around recently, being kind seems to becoming old fashioned.  Everyone is quick to blame and push their inconveniences onto other people.  “It’s not my problem” or “what difference does it make” are commonplace.

How can we be more benevolent?

Like anything you want to do in life, small changes lead to big rewards.  It starts with the little things like think of the server at your local coffee shop during the morning rush, as someone who has worked in the service industry I know how quickly that job can get on top of you.  This leads to me always clearing my table before I leave as I know that small gesture could go a long way to making someones day easier.

This kind of mindset will alter things in your life, wouldn’t the world be a better place if “How can I help?” was everyone’s default attitude.  Think of the impact that could have on the world if everyone tried to help each other no matter how small the gesture.

Think it might be worth finding out..
